Kalkallo sits right on Melbourne’s northern edge, between Craigieburn and Donnybrook. Many of the homes we see are new homes that need a new heating and cooling system installed.
Some of Kalkallo homes are older and in these homes we replace the gas heating that was originally installed when the home was built and replace it with an electric ducted system that will do both the heating and cooling. When we do a gas change over to an electric system, there is VEU rebate to help with the cost.

VEU Rebates Available In Kalkallo
The Victorian Energy Upgrades program puts money back on the table when you replace a gas or old electric system with a new electric reverse cycle ducted system.
We are registered with the scheme, so the rebate is handled as part of the job. You do not chase paperwork afterwards.
The amount depends on the system and the home.

This is most of what we do. Gas prices have pushed a lot of people to look at electric, and the VEU rebate is there to help with the switch.
What Do Most People Put In Now?
Electric reverse cycle ducted. It heats and it cools off one system, it runs on electricity rather than gas, and it is the system the VEU rebate applies to when you switch across.

- Split sytems: if you need additional systems added to your home
- Gas ducted heating: still available if that is what suits the house.
- Evaporative changeovers: swapping an old evaporative unit for a new system.

The size of your home is how we can suggest what sytem is going to work best for you. For single level homes, a smaller system will work perfectly well but for a multi level home, you will need a bigger system and possibly consider using split systems in some areas along side a ducted sytem.
There is no point trying to install the smallest system to try and save installation costs. An undersized system will struggle to heat or cool your home, draw more power and run for longer. You will also need to replace an overworked sytem faster.
Beyond Heating & Cooling sizes and specifies every system based on the actual home, not a standard package. Victoria’s VEU rebate is also available to eligible Donnybrook homeowners replacing gas heating with electric reverse cycle.
